The i5-12450H is one of the best values in laptop CPUs, with strong single- and multicore scores. When combined with 3200 MHz, apps load and run quickly, and sleep-resume is nearly instantaneous.
The CPU uses the Intel 7 process, which is comparable to “TSMC 7 nm” and is quite efficient. Highly threaded tasks scale well thanks to a generous 12 MB Smart Cache. If you need more performance, you might consider a mobile workstation like the Focus M2 with more cores, threads, and thermal headroom.

The Intel UHD graphics provides impressive desktop performance and is even suitable for modest gaming at 1920x1200. It can easily drive an additional 3 displays with desktop effects enabled. While it is not as fast as Xe Iris Graphics, it is surprisingly close.
We found this iGPU runs 30-70 FPS for mid-level games like CS:GO, Team Fortress 2, Left for Dead, Dota 2, and Minecraft. Dual-channel 16 GB+ RAM is required for best performance. We used VSync to disable any flicker and ran medium-to-high settings on the native 1920x1200 resolution with smooth results.
If you require more GPU power, the Focus team has tested and configured the OS to accommodate Nvidia eGPUs, or you might consider acquiring a workstation-class device like the Focus M2 which has a powerful discrete GPU.

All Ir14 benchmarks were run on AC power in default Quiet mode. Compositing was disabled using the SUPER + F12 shortcut. Maximum fan volume was a modest 32 dB two feet from screen center.
Unigine Heaven Medium settings include Medium preset, 1080 or 1200p, normal tessellation, and 2x antialiasing. All results show average FPS and Score. If a separate score is not provided by the benchmark, then FPS alone is shown.
