You can freely install Kubuntu 24.04 LTS with KFS on your computer. We think it's a great way to take back control from Big Tech. This is the same system image installed on all Focus systems sold.

Kubuntu is the highly respected official flavor of Ubuntu with KDE. The open-source Kubuntu Focus Suite (KFS) adds convenience and reliability with graphical tools, hardware optimizations, curated apps, and extensive documentation. • Verify the file as described here, or use the SHA-256 checksum directly.
• Proceed to Clean Install.

Kubuntu 26.04 LTS with KFS

Kubuntu 26.04 LTS was released in late April 2026. We are busy porting the Kubuntu Focus Suite (KFS) of tools to this release and validating Key Product Characterstics (KPCs) for all supported models.

This is the fourth LTS release we've prepared, and the schedule is similar to 2020, 2022, and 2024: Kubuntu 26.04 LTS with KFS will ship first with new devices starting at the end of June. The engineering staff is expected to complete adjustments, porting, and validation for all supported models by late July or early August. At that time, a new ISO will be posted above.
