Verify the file as described here, or use the SHA-256 checksum directly.
Proceed to Clean Install.

Kubuntu 26.04 LTS with KFS Release Schedule

While Kubuntu 26.04 LTS has been released, Kubuntu 24.04 LTS remains the foundation for the latest supported Kubuntu Focus OEM image until integration and validation of 26.04 is complete. This is the normal development cycle.

The Kubuntu 26.04 LTS with KFS OEM image is scheduled to be released in July of this year and will be available from this page around the same time as the upgrade-capable Kubuntu 26.04.1 release. This is the same schedule as prior LTS releases.

The Kubuntu Focus Team was more involved than ever in this LTS cycle, so there are many features upstreamed. Significant testing that usually happens later was also done. However, integration and validation for all models remain, as does the need to synchronize with the Kubuntu 26.04.1 release.

As in the past, we may offer new systems with Kubuntu 26.04 with KFS earlier than July because we validate currently shipping models first. We then proceed to validate all the remaining models that are still supported.
