The NX GEN 1 features the 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake-UP3 processor in its most powerful 28 W configuration. This 4-core, 8-thread CPU has a base frequency of 2.8 GHz and a maximum turbo boot of 4.7 GHz. Apps load and run noticeably faster thanks to outstanding single-threaded performance and 3200 MHz dual-channel RAM.
If you seek more threads for compiling, running containers, and heavy multitasking, we suggest you consider the NX GEN 2.
Iris Xe Graphics are up to 3x faster than the prior-generation Intel integrated graphics. Performance is excellent for development, DevOps, most content creation, and - with modest quality settings - even lighter games like Dota 2, CS:GO, or Minecraft.
If you need ultimate GPU capabilities for visualization, deep learning, or games, we recommend adding an eGPU or getting a system like the Focus M2. However, if your GPU needs are more modest, you should be very pleased with the built-in graphics on the NX GEN 1.
